Innocent Civilian Sustains Gunshot Wounds in Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Yesagyo Township of Magway Region

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 29 April 2025 at 4:00 PM, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds was admitted to the Township Public Hospital in Pakokku Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Myo Min Aung (33 years old), a resident of Ywar Thit Village in Yesagyo Township. He was working in a palm plantation located four furlongs west of his village when a so-called PDF terrorist faction opened fire on him before fleeing, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for shooting the innocent civilian in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
