Five Man and Three Women Injured After Stepping on Four Landmines Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Salin Township of Magway Region

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 January 2026 at 11:05 AM, a report stated that five man and three women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Salin Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Kyaw Min (53 years old), U Sein Kyi (70 years old), U Myint Aung (68 years old), U Saw Maung Myint (59 years old), U Kyaw Kyaw Lin (51 years old), Daw Amy Oo (38 years old), Daw Soe Soe Htway (55 years old) and Daw Tin Tin Moe (50 years old), all residents of No. 3 Ward in Sin Phyu Kyun Town, Salin Township. According to the investigation, at 7:05 AM, on the same day, while the victims were on their way to work, they stepped on four landmines planted by so-called PDF terrorists on a road in the ward, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
