Two Monks Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Taungtha Township of Mandalay Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 November 2025 at 10:00 AM, a report stated that two monks with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Meiktila District Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as Bhanthe Za Nira (81 years old), who has served (61 years old), in monkhood and is the abbot of Chan Aye Thar Yar Monastery in Bein Nwe Kone Village, Taungtha Township, and a junior novice, Da Mein Thar Ra (14 years old), who has been for two months in monkhood. On 9 November 2025 at 1:00 PM, a heavy weapon shell fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded on a building in the monastery compound, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
