Innocent Civilian Killed, Another Injured in Mine Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Bilin Township of Mon State

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 August 2025 at 11:20 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group carried out a landmine attack on Yangon–Mawlamyine road between mileposts 120/4 and 120/5, near Ah Lu Village in Bilin Township of Mon State. As a result of the explosion, U Soe Min Tun (44 years old), a resident of Yin Nyein Village of Paung Township, who was driving a FORLAND vehicle (license plate No. 5B-XXXX), sustained shrapnel injuries. Additionally, Ko Ka Lar (aka) Chit Thal Oo, who was travelling in an ISUZU 22-wheeler truck driven by Ko Zay Yar Soe (27 years old), a resident of Na Bal Pin Village in Singaing Township of Mandalay Region, died on the spot. Fortunately, Ko Zay Yar Soe was unharmed. The deceased and injured individuals were transported to Bilin Township Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
