Civil Servant Shot Dead by So-Called PDF terrorist Group in Mudon Township of Mon State

   In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

   Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 1 September 2025, at 7:10 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Myoma (4) Ward, Mudon Township of Mon State. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Aung Myo Lwin (aka) Ko Myo (52 years old), a security staff of the No. 1, Basic Education High School and a resident of Myoma (3) Ward. The investigation revealed that the incident had occurred while the victim was travelling to the school by motorcycle. When he reached an area near Mya Thandar Street in Myoma (4) Ward, a so-called PDF terrorist, who was following on another motorcycle, opened fire on him and then fled. As a result, U Aung Myo Lwin (aka) Ko Myo died on the spot, it is reported.

   Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
