Two Innocent Civilians Killed, Another Injured by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Mawlamyine Township of Mon State

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 9 November 2025, at 10:45 PM, a report stated that two men were shot dead and another injured in Myay Ni Kone Ward, Mawlamyine Township of Mon State. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Tin Ko Ko Oo (37 years old), a resident of Myay Ni Kone Ward in Mawlamyine Township, along with U Mar Met Ah Ywun (aka) Ma Ni (35 years old) and U Zwal Wai Yan Htet (32 years old), both residents of Yae Twin Kone Village in Kyaikmaraw Township. At 10:40 PM, on the same day, while the victims were travelling by motorcycle from Hlaing Ward to the “Myin Thu Lan” Beauty Salon in Myay Ni Kone Ward. When they reached in front of the beauty salon, two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle, opened fire on them and then fled. As a result, U Tin Ko Ko Oo and U Mar Met Ah Ywun (aka) Ma Ni died on the spot, while U Zwal Wai Yan Htet sustained gunshot wounds. The injured man was transported to Mawlamyine Township Public Hospital for medical treatment. According to initial, all three victims were known to local security personnel, it is reported.

     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
