Three Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attacks by Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) Terrorist Group in Kyaukme and Naungcho Townships of Shan State

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 July 2025 at 1:00 PM, a report stated that three men with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Pyin Oo Lwin Township Public Hospital of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim were identified as Sai Aung Thet Paing (19 years old), a resident of Taung Nout Village in Kyaukme Township of Shan State; U Ar Li Ya (aka) Ohn Khine (56 years old), a resident of Ingyin Kone Village in Naungcho Township and Ko Zin Min Htet (33 years old), a resident of Lone Yone Village in Naungcho Township. According to the investigation, on 8 July 2025 at 6:00 PM, a heavy weapon shell exploded in the yard of Sai Aung Thet Paing. On 22 July 2025, at 10:00 AM, another shell exploded in the yard of U Ar Li Ya and later that day, at 7:00 PM, a third shell exploded in the yard of Ko Zin Min Htet. All the heavy weapon shells were fired by Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) terrorist group. As a result of these explosions, the aforementioned individuals sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
