Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 22 December 2024 at 5:50 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead near Oak Shik Kone Village in Aunglan Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Naing Win (38 years old), a resident of Myay Ni Kone Village in Aunglan Township. The investigation revealed that while the victim was returning from his farm to his village, seven so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by three motorcycles and opened fire on him near the village. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, on 23 December 2024 at 5:30 AM, a report stated that two men and a woman were shot dead in Tamar Kan Village in Wundwin Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Village Administrator U Maung Lwin (52 years old) his wife, Daw Myint Naing (aka) Daw Myint Khine (52 years old) and their son, Ko Phoe La Pyae (22 years old), all residents of the village. The investigation revealed that while the victims were at their house, 10 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycles and opened fire on them. As a result, the victims died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists took two gold necklaces, two gold bracelets, four gold rings and a HONDA WAVE 110 Motorcycle valued at approximately MMK 210 lakhs from the house, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
