Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 7 January 2025 at 12:05 PM, a report stated that a man and woman were shot dead in Yae Kyi Kone Village, Pyay Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the sense for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Zaw Min Oo (aka) U Chit Ko (aka) Chat Phaung (40 years old) and his wife, Daw Zar Phyu Hnin (30 years old), both resident of the village. While the victims were at their house, four so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by two motorcycles and opened fire on them. As a result, both victims died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 1:10 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Myo Hla Village, Pyay Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the sense for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Aung Naing Oo (50 years old), a 100-household elder and resident of the village. While the victim was at his house, six so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by three motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 4:50 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in I-Zauk Village, Natmauk Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the sense for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Village Administrator U Bo Win (68 years old), a resident of the village. While the victim was at his house, two so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:10 PM, a report stated that a woman was shot dead in Pabedan Ward, Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the sense for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Daw Ohn Mar Tin (62 years old), a resident of the ward. While the victim was at her house, three so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on her. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
