In Certain Township, Innocent Civilians, Including Civil Servant, Killed and Injured in Heavy Weapon Attacks by Terrorists Mandalay, Tanintharyi, Bago and Sagaing Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 4 April 2026 at 9:00 AM, so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons into Chaung Shae Village in Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region. The shells exploded within the village. As a result, Daw Win Win Mar (58 years old), a primary teacher from the Sub Basic Education High School of the village and a resident of the village, died on the spot. Additionally, U Myint Soe (58 years old), sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Nyaung-U District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 10:15 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Dawei Township Public Hospital in Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Soe (59 years old), a resident of Sone Sin Village in Thayetchaung Township. According to the investigation, on 3 April 2026 at 3:00 PM, while the victim was at his house, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 2:00 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Shwegyin Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Win Thandar (45 years old), a resident of No. 2 Ward in Ma Dauk Town, Nyaunglebin Township. According to the investigation, at 6:30 AM, on the same day, while the victim was cutting firewood in a forest near Seik Ka Lay Village, a heavy weapon shell fired by a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 3:05 PM, a report stated that a man and two women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as U Min Zaw (48 years old), his wife, Daw Aye Aye Than (48 years old) and their daughter Ma Aye Su Su Naing (11 years old), all residents of Na Bat Village in Myaung Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 3 April 2026 at 4:30 PM, while the victims were at their house, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
