In Certain Townships, Three Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 April 2026 at 8:20 AM, a report stated that two women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Shwegyin Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as Ma May Oo (32 years old) and her younger sister, Ma Poe Poe (22 years old), both residents of Inn Ga Ni Village in Shwegyin Township. According to the investigation, at 7:50 AM, on the same day, the victims were travelling by motorcycle along the Shwegyin-Kyaukgyi Road. When they reached an area near the Sub Basic Education Secondary School in the village, an improvised explosive device planted by a combined group of KUN and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded on the roadside, and resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 1:30 PM, on the same day, while U Aung Myint (65 years old), a resident of Yae-O Sin Village in Kyaukgyi Township, was working in his orchard about two furlongs west of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, U Aung Myint sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Taungoo Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
