Innocent Civilian Injured After Stepping on Improvised Explosive Device Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Taungdwingyi Township of Magway Region

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 January 2026 at 3:30 PM, while U Ye Win Thu (30 years old), a resident of Ye Tat Village in Taungdwingyi Township of Magway Region, was herding cows in a field next to the roadside of the Taungdwingyi- Pyay Road near the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, U Ye Win Thu sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Magway Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
