Innocent Civilian Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosion Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Pyin Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay Region

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 April 2026, at 10:30 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Pyin Oo Lwin District Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Than Naing Oo (36 years old) a resident of Kyauk Mal Lay Village in Pyin Oo Lwin Township of Mandalay Region. According to the investigation, at 9:00 AM on the same day, while the victim was collecting pig feed about one furlong west of his house, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, causing it to explode and resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
