Innocent Civilians, Including Monk, Killed and Injured in Heavy Weapon and Drone Bomb Attacks by Terrorists in Myeik, Phyu, Htigyaing and Falam Townships

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 March 2026 at 4:50 AM, while Mg Hein Thura Soe (13 years old), a resident of Boke Chaung Village in Myeik Township of Tanintharyi Region, was at his house, a heavy weapon shell fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded nearby. As a result, the boy sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to No. 5 Military Hospital (100-bedded) in Myeik Town for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 14 March 2026 at 10:20 AM, a report stated that a man and a woman with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Taw Kwyal Inn Station Hospital in Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Aung Lwin (60 years old) and his niece, Ma Thet Thet Mon (29 years old), both residents of Kyun Kone Village in Phyu Township. According to the investigation, at 7:30 AM, on the same day, while the victims were farming in a plantation field near the village, a bomb dropped by a drone operated by a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 14 March 2026 at 11:05 AM, a report stated that a man and a monk with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as Mg Pyae Sone Tun (19 years old), a resident of Zee Kone Village and a junior novice, Wilar Thaga (15 years old) from the village monastery. According to the investigation, on 10 March 2026 at 1:00 PM, a heavy weapon shell fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded within the monastery in Zee Kone village, Htigyaing Township of Sagaing Region, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 14 March 2026 at 2:20 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Hakha Township Public Hospital in Chin State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Kyon Nwun Oak (37 years old), a resident of Khwar Village in Falam Township. According to the investigation, on 11 March 2026 at 7:00 AM, while the victim was at her house, a heavy weapon shell fired by the so-called CDF terrorist group exploded nearby, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets, and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
