Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists in Naungcho and Myaung Townships

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 21 March 2026 at 11:30 AM, while U Naing Min Tun (37 years old) and his son, Mg Kaung Htet (16 years old), both residents of Mat Hlut Village in Naungcho Township of Shan State, were cleaning within their yard, Mg Kaung Htet stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by TNLA terrorist group. As a result, they sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Pyin Oo Lwin Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 1:00 PM, on the same day, while U Tin Hlaing (52 years old), a resident of Kyaung Village in Naungcho Township, was working in a sugarcane plantation field owned by U Thein Naing in Nar Sho Village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by TNLA terrorist group. As a result, he sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Pyin Oo Lwin Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 4:00 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Ko Shein Htet Aung (22 years old), a resident of Ta Pin Shwe Htee Ward in Myinmu Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, at 11:15 AM, on the same day, the victim was collecting abandoned bottles and cans along a road in Na Bat Village in Myaung Township, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
