Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 19 January 2025 at 5:55 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Na Nge-Lat Khope Pin Village, Natmauk Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Nay Lin (75 years old), a resident of the village. The incident occurred while U Nay Lin was holding alms food to offer to monks on the seventh day after his son’s demise at his house. At the time, 10 so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, U Nay Lin died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 9:00 PM, a report stated that a man with gunshot injuries had been admitted to the Mohnyin Township Public Hospital of Kachin State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Ko Kyi Thar Taw (23 years old), a resident of Hal Lon Village in Mohnyin Township. The investigation revealed that while the victim was travelling to Mohnyin Town, two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle, and opened fire on him in Ah-shae Su Ward of Mohnyin Town, causing his injuries, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
