Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by Terrorists

    In some townships across States and Regions, so-called PDF terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 8 October, 2024 at 2:45 PM, a report stated that two men were stabbed to death in Tha Pwut Pin Village, Tada-U Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Nan Htway Aung (35 years old) and U Phoe Aung (aka) Aung Kyaw Htoo (35 years old), both residents of the village. While the victims were at their house, a so-called PDF terrorist group arriving by motorcycles and abducted them. Later, at the village entrance on the northern side, the terrorists stabbed them to death. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 3:20 PM, a report stated that a man and a woman were shot dead near Sai Kan Village in Taungthar Township. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Si Thu (38 years old) and his wife, Daw Thidar Tun (40 years old), both residents of the village. While the victims were at their home-based shop, 10 so-called PDF terrorists arrived and took an ANBO 125 motorcycle, two gold necklaces, a pair of gold earrings, two gold rings and approximately MMK 80 lakhs. The terrorists then abducted the victims and took them to the Htein Kan-Kin Za Loat-Tada Village Commutable Road near Sai Kan Village, where they were shot. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 10:00 PM, a report stated that a man was injured, two women were dead by gunfire in Sin Chaung Village, Yaesagyo Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Daw Htay (47 years old), Ma Nwe Hnin Si (11 years old) and Mg Ye Yint Aung (14 years old), all residents of the village. While the victims were at their house, a so-called PDF terrorist arrived and opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, Daw Htay and Ma Nwe Hnin Si died on the spot, while Mg Ye Yint Aung sustained gunshot wounds and is currently receiving first aid treatment at the village, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and assassination of innocent civilian in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
