So-Called PDF Terrorist Group Burns Down House in Mawlaik Township of Sagaing Region

     Terrorists are employing various methods to carry out acts of violence in order to disrupt state stability and law enforcement operations and to instill fear and panic among the civilian population. Their actions include destroying roads and bridges with explosives, firing heavy weapons, dropping bombs on government buildings, residential neighborhoods and villages, as well as committing arson. 

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 June 2025 at 6:00 PM, a report stated that a so-called PDF terrorist group burned down a house in Laung Kuang Village, Mawlaik Township of Sagaing Region. Security personnel conducted further investigation and found that Village Administrator, U San Min Thu, had been residing in Mawlaik town with his family for security reasons since 26 August 2025. On 28 August 2025 at 5:00 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group set fire to U San Min Thu’s house, which was galvanized-roofed, wooden-walled and wooden-floored, valued at approximately 5,000,000 MMK) in Laung Kaung Village, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
