Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel

    In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 17 January 2025 at 10:15 AM, a report stated that deceased and injured individuals with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to the Chaung-U Township Public Hospital of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the Hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that an explosive device had detonated near the Myoma Market Street in Myoma Ward in Chaung-U Township. The device, planted by a so-called PDF terrorist faction. As a result of the explosion, U Phone Naing (53 years old), a resident of Myothit Ward, who was passing near the incident at the time, died on the spot. Meanwhile, Ko Chit Ko (22 years old), a resident of Kyauk Sit Kan Village, sustained shrapnel injuries while passing through the area, it is reported.
       It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
