Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Htantabin Township, Bago Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings, and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 4 May 2026 at 10:45 AM, a report stated that two women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Taungoo Township Public Hospital in Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the Hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as Ma Wah Wah Aung (17 years old) and Ma Moe Pyae Pyae Lwin (16 years old) both residents of Bwar Aye Su Village in Htantabin Township. According to the investigation, on 3 May 2026 at 5:00 PM, while Ma Wah Wah Aung was at her house along with Ma Moe Pyae Pyae Lwin, a heavy weapon shell fired by a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets, and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
