Village Administrator and Innocent Civilian Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Yenangyang Township of Magway Region

      Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from local civilians as well as killings.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 15 February 2026 at 2:50 PM, while U Hla Chaw (68 years old), the village administrator and a resident of Mhan Myay (North) Village in Yenangyaung Township of Magway Region, was at the house of U Htay Myint Oo (55 years old), in Mhan Myay (North) Village, six so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by four motorcycles, abducted both men, it is reported.
       Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
